Membership

A prospective member may obtain the Application Form and Information Handbook from the Society’s Office at
No. 34 Atu Street, Calabar at a cost of N1,000 or the Form be downloaded from its website.
After submission of the completed Application Form, a prospective member is required to make three (3) consecutive appearances before the Management Committee during the Committee’s Weekly Wednesday Meetings.
The Management Committee considers the application for membership received and, being satisfied, grants temporary admission to the member, pending ratification and confirmation of the new member by the General House at the Quarterly General Meeting.
To ensure strict compliance with its membership requirements, the Society keeps accurate record of the documents submitted by a prospective member as well as the number of meetings attended.
A newly confirmed member is only eligible to apply for loan after one (1) year of being admitted into the Society while an unconfirmed member is not qualified under any circumstances to seek credit facility from the Society.
